That was Last Race 2026

FPV Oberösterreich

22 brave pilots, one epic evening and three well-deserved winners: looking back at our FPV indoor drone race on March 13, 2026 in Linz.

On March 13, the time had finally come: 22 brave pilots took on the challenge at last-space.at in Linz. It was a wonderful evening that went almost entirely according to plan.

Admittedly, there was a small hurdle right at the start – the starting tone was barely audible in the heat of the moment. But hey, we are FPV pilots, we always find a solution! An additional speaker was quickly organized, and from then on everything ran like clockwork.

The atmosphere was fantastic, the pilots were super happy, and the feedback we received was simply overwhelming. A huge thank-you goes out to Last Space bei Schachermayer, who made this event possible in the first place as sponsor and host!

Plenty was captured on camera too: a great photographer stopped by, and you can already find the first action-packed videos on our Instagram channel. It was a fantastic evening that ended with three more than deserving winners on the podium.

But the most important thing about this evening was the community. A huge thank-you to all the helpers who made this event possible — to everyone who spontaneously pitched in, filmed videos, provided a simulator for the visitors, welcomed and looked after guests, and for the awesome music in the background that created the perfect atmosphere. It is simply awesome to see how this community is growing and how every single person helps turn a race into what it is today.

The “Last” Race was definitely NOT our last. We will be back!

These were the participation conditions

To participate in the Last Race, a few conditions had to be met: The entry fee was €10, payable in advance upon registration. Only 1S quads with a maximum diagonal of 80 mm and maximum 45 mm propellers were permitted, as used for example on the BetaFPV 75mm Pro. It was also important that the quad was illuminated at least at the rear, so that it could be clearly seen during the race. The antenna had to be a dipole or better. Anyone flying DJI equipment had to ensure it was operated in race mode. Particularly important was the video TX power: it was strictly limited to 25 mW and was checked – no exceptions here! The TX power of the radio controller was allowed to be a maximum of 100 mW and had to be set to dynamic.

Race rules

Strict rules applied during the races: the track was not entered during a heat. All other quads and DJI goggles had to remain unplugged during a heat to avoid interference. Every pilot had to display their race band, VTX transmission power, and pilot name in the OSD, so that we always knew who was flying.

Thanks to all participants!
